A CEC delegation led by President Angelica Caraman attends the General Assembly of the Association of European Election Officers

On September 28-30, a delegation from the Central Electoral Commission, chaired by President Angelica Caraman, attended the General of the Association of European Election Officers (ACEEEO) and the 30th Annual Conference of the Organization. which takes place in Bucharest, Romania.

The theme of this year's edition is "Youth Participation and Funding for Political Parties and Electoral Campaigns". The event is attended by about 100 election officials and international electoral experts, as well as representatives of prestigious international institutions.

The conference agenda includes plenary sessions and roundtables, in which participants will discuss best practices on youth participation in the electoral process, trends and changes in recent decades on campaign finance, pandemic elections, challenges related to the implementation of alternative methods of voting, but also about the communication and information of the voters.

The Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova has been an institutional member of ACEEEO since 1998, and since September 2013 it has been part of the executive committee of this institution. Also, in the period 2014-2015, the CEC held the presidency of ACEEEO.

This year, the ACEEEO Annual Conference is hosted by the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania, which holds the presidency of the association for one year.
