The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs that out of 55 political parties, 46 (83.63 %) submitted, within the deadline, the report on financial management for the first semester of 2022. Out of these, 39 (70.90 %) political organizations have submitted the report in the established format, i.e. both by the "Financial Control" IT system and on paper, and 7 others used only one method.

9 (16.36 %) political parties did not fulfill their reporting obligations within the established term:

1. The Socialist Party of Moldova

2. The Political Party Labor People's Party

3. The Political Party THE NEW HISTORICAL OPTION

4. The Political Party "United Moldova - Edinaya Moldavia"

5. The Conservative Party

6. The Political Party "RENASTERE"

7. Moldovan Political Party "Ours"

8. The Political Party "National Progress Party"

9. The Political Party Alternative Force and Salvation of Moldova

At the same time, the figures show an improvement in the situation regarding the half-yearly financial reporting of the parties compared to the same period of 2021. Out of 53 political parties registered at that time, only 35 (66.03%) submitted the reports in compliance with the legal deadline.

There are also improvements in the presentation of reports in the established format both on paper and through the computer system. We note that only 24 (45.28 %) organizations took into account the above-mentioned provisions, when presenting the reports for the first semester of 2021.

The CEC reminds that the political parties were supposed to present the report on the financial management for the first semester of the current year until July 15 of the current year.

Failure to present the report within the term and format established by law, including the presentation of incomplete data and the contrary use of state budget allocations constitute infringements of the legal provisions regarding the financial management of political parties. These acts shall be considered a contravention and are subject to contravention liability.

The commission will separately examine all non-conformities admitted in the process of submitting annual reports on the financial management of political parties and will take the necessary actions.

The financial reports of political parties are placed on the Commission's official page, under the heading "Financing of parties through financial control".
