The Instruction on the organization and conduct of elections in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic by the Central Electoral Commission has been approved

At the meeting held today, the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission approved the Instruction on the organization and conduct of elections in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic by the Central Electoral Commission.

The document sets out the mandatory general rules for preventing and fighting COVID-19 infection during the elections.

At the same time, the instruction specifies protective measures for all electoral stakeholders: voters, electoral officials, electoral competitors and other actors. A separate chapter is dedicated to the electoral campaign rules in the case of organizing events/meetings/actions that imply the physical presence of participants.

In the polling stations, the measures of controlling and fighting COVID-19 infection established by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission shall be complied with on the election day.
