Central Electoral Commission took note of the information presented in the reports on the financial management of the political parties for the first semester of 2022. Thus, CEC found that the reports were submitted within the legal term (until July 15, 2022) by 35 political parties, and with its infringement – by 17 parties. In total were verified the financial reports submitted by 52 political parties. 3 other parties failed to present the information  on the management of financial resources for the first semester of the year, and in relation to them, were initiated contravention processes.

CEC found that the financial reports presented by 14 political parties contain full information and are filled out in accordance with the legal provisions. At the same time, in the reports presented by 13 political parties, the figure "0" is indicated in all compartments. 28 political parties admitted insignificant calculation errors, the non-correspondence of the report presented by SSI "Financial Control" with the one presented on paper, misrepresentation of amounts from donations and allocations, as well as expenses, the presentation of information in a different format than the one established by the CEC, failure to present the necessary information, as well as other inconsistencies.

Following the analysis of the reports, the CEC found that the Liberal Party exceeded the donation ceiling. CEC has summoned the political party to pay into the state budget the amount of 12,120.00 MDL received over the ceiling stipulated by law.

At the same time, as part of the supervision and control process, the Commission noted the deliberate refusal of the "Sor" Political Party to voluntarily present the primary documents justifying the income and expenses incurred during the first semester of 2022. This fact contravenes the legal provisions on  financing of political parties, and as a result, the CEC was unable to verify the correctness of the information indicated in the report on financial management for the first semester of 2022. On this case, the Commission notified the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, for the examination of the financing of the "Sor" Political Party during the management period January 1, 2022 - June 30, 2022, including from the perspective of the deviations found by the Commission.

We specify that 55 political parties had the obligation to submit financial management reports for the first semester of 2022.
