Following the decision of the Chișinău Court of Appeal of June 17 and the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice of June 22, Central Electoral Commission (CEC) held additional consultations with decision makers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI).
Based on the estimated costs for organizing and conducting early parliamentary elections on July 11, 2021 that take into consideration the needs assessment for 150 polling stations, the CEC has sent a list of 150 polling stations for final notice to the MFAEI.
In this context, the MFAEI stated that the condition of obtaining the agreement of the line authorities of foreign states has been met and confirmed the possibility of providing logistical support for the voting process, including the identification of chairpersons of the Precinct Electoral Bureaus and their headquarters (see here).
As a result, the list of polling stations for the Early Parliamentary Elections of July 11, 2021 from abroad has been approved with the unanimous vote of Commission members, and the District Electoral Council for the polling stations established abroad no. 38 will adjust the decision on the establishment of precinct electoral bureaus abroad in accordance with the CEC decision.
