Chisinau, CEC – During today’s session, on Wednesday, March 3, 2019, the Central Electoral Commission has tabulated the voting results from the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, in the national electoral district and the single-member districts.
Thus, 1 457 220 voters participated in the parliamentary elections in national electoral district, out of whom 76 583 persons exercised their right to vote at the polling stations opened abroad and 37 257 persons at the polling stations established for the voters from the localities at the left bank of the Dniester (Transnistria), Bender Municipality, and some localities of Causeni District.
In the single-member districts, 1 441 326 voters participated in the parliamentary elections, out of whom 76 642 persons exercised their right to vote at the polling stations abroad and 36 696 persons at the polling stations open for the voters in the localities at the left bank of the Dniester (Transnistria), Bender Municipality, and some localities of Causeni District.
According to the provisions of the Electoral Code, the parties and other social-political organizations which obtained less than 6% of the votes validly expressed during the parliamentary elections in the national electoral district on February 24, 2019, were excluded from the mandate distribution procedure.

After summing up the results of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova of February 24, 2019, the Central Electoral Commission has stated that the electoral competitors obtained 1 416 359 valid expressed votes. Therefore, the number of deputy mandates in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova for the electoral contestants in the national electoral district is established as follows:

On the basis of the minutes on summing up the votes from the single-member districts, the deputy mandates in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova were assigned to the candidates elected in the 51 districts. At the same time, the Commission decided to exclude from the process of assigning the deputy mandates in the national electoral district the candidates elected both in the single-member districts and on the lists of a party or an electoral bloc in the national electoral district, since they are considered elected only in the single-member districts.
Besides, deputy mandates were assigned in the national electoral district.
At the same time, additional candidates were nominalized for the position of deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in the national electoral district, in line with the results of the parliamentary elections held on February 24, 2019:
1) from the Political Party “Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova” – 25 candidates,
2) from the Electoral Block “ACUM Platforms DA and PAS” – 33 candidates,
3) from the Democratic Party of Moldova – 37 candidates,
4) from “Sor” Political Party – 44 candidates.
The Central Electoral Commission will present to the Constitutional Court a report on the results of the parliamentary elections held in the Republic of Moldova on February 24, 2019, for confirming the election results, validate the mandates attributed to the elected deputies, and confirm the list of additional candidates.
