Central Electoral Commission notes that, at the expiration of the basic and additional deadlines, offered for the presentation of updated information about the party leader, the treasurer and the bank account intended for allocations from the state budget, 15 political parties did not respond to the request.
In order to confirm the treasurers of the political parties, ensure the accuracy of the transfers of allocations from the state budget, the efficiency of communication and also the accountability of parties, the CEC requested updated information about the party leader and contact details of the formation (legal address, contact address of the office/headquarters, address web page, phone). In the same way, were requested updated data necessary to confirm the treasurers (name, surname, contact details and copy of the document confirming the powers of attorney). And for the payment of state budget allocations intended for political parties, were to be provided updated data about the bank account intended for this purpose, as well as information about other bank accounts owned by the party.
The parties that, at the expiration of the basic and additional terms, did not present the information requested by the CEC are the following:
1. The Socialist Party of Moldova
2. Political Party Labor People's Party
3. The Social Democratic Party
4. The Political Party THE NEW HISTORICAL OPTION
5. The Centrist Union Political Party of Moldova
6. "Moldova Unită - Edinaya Moldavia" Party
7. Conservative Party
8. Party of Regions from Moldova
9. Political Party "RENAISSANCE" Party
10. "PATRIA" Political Party
11. Political Party "RUSSIAN-SLAVIC PARTY OF MOLDOVA"
12. "PRO MOLDOVA" Political Party
13. Moldavian Political Party "Ours"
14. The "National Progress Party" Political Party
15. The Political Party "Alternative and Rescue Force of Moldova"
That information was to be communicated by January 20, 2023, after which the deadline was extended until the February 7 for the parties that did not comply with the initial deadline. The CEC makes a public appeal to the political parties that have not submitted the requested data to show responsibility and cooperation and to submit, in the near future, the requested information. Political parties receiving allocations from the state budget that have not presented the updated information will not be able to receive the financial sources. Please note that the financial means from the state budget not distributed in the year for which they were provided will not be available for use in the following years.
