Opinion polls on voters' choices can only be conducted with the prior notification of the Central Electoral Commission

The Central Electoral Commission points out that, during the electoral period, any opinion poll on the political preferences of voters can be carried out only with the prior notification of the Commission. The notification shall contain data about the institution that will conduct the opinion poll, the period of the poll, the proposed sampling, and the beneficiary of the poll.

According to art.70 par. (10) of the Electoral Code, the results of such polls can be published no later than 5 days before the election day. At the same time, on the election day, until the closure of polling stations, it is forbidden to advertise in the media materials, including interviews with voters, information about the number of votes in favor of electoral competitors and about their chances, including the results of exit polls.
